Nixa Animal Hospital Policies
Appointment Policy
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.
Cancellation and No Show Policy
If you are unable to make an appointment please notify at least 24 hours in advance. If you have more than one no show appointment per year or more than two late notifications to reschedule, a deposit will be required for future visits for one year and a $35 fee may be added.
Urgent Care Visits
We will continue to provide same day visits for established patients for urgent situations. If your pet has an urgent medical need, please call us as soon as possible to schedule your pet in an urgent time slot. If our urgent slots have already been reserved, we will provide you with the following options:
- A ‘Work In’ visit to allow the veterinarian to see you between regularly scheduled visits.
- A ‘Drop Off’ visit to allow your pet to stay at our clinic and be evaluated as the schedule allows.
In either situation, a veterinary nurse will collect triage information to assure all emergent cases are seen immediately.
Prescription Request Policy
Our hospital offers competitive pricing for our most commonly prescribed medications in clinic and via our website. If you prefer to utilize an online, international or non-locally licensed pharmacy, please request a written prescription at the time of your veterinary visit.
Payment Policy
We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cash, and personal checks with valid identification. We also offer payment through Scratchpay, a third-party, risk-free, easy to use company to help with emergency veterinary bills.
Patient Arrival Policy
For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash. If you need assistance getting your pet safely inside, please contact the clinic.
